2025 Club Election Process

Hello Tennis Club Members:

Once again the March Board elections are upon us. I want to take this time to describe the election process so each of you are aware of the opportunities you have to provide input and understand the options you have to cast your ballot. The positions up for election this year are President, Secretary, and Director of Membership. Each position will be elected to serve a two-year term beginning April 1, 2025.

The first step in the process is to nominate individuals that you would like to see serve in each position. Nominations will be accepted beginning February 15. If you want to nominate an individual (or individuals), we ask that you first contact them and determine whether they are willing to serve in the desired capacity. If they are, the next step is to forward your nomination(s) and the respective position(s) to Dan Lewis via email. Dan will serve as your independent election chairman and will accept nominations at dan.lewis1@comcast.net until March 1. Upon receiving your nomination(s), Dan will then also contact the individual(s) to verify that they are indeed willing to serve. If they are, Dan will inform the Board and the individual’s name will be placed on the official ballot for the appropriate position.

Once the final ballot has been created, Anh Snell will email it to each club member sometime during the second week in March. Each member will mark the candidate of their choice and forward the email to Dan Lewis by March 17. For those who prefer to vote using a hard copy ballot, this opportunity will be provided at the beginning of the March 25th annual meeting. The hard copy ballots will be counted by volunteers while the annual meeting is being conducted and combined with the email ballot count. Election results will be announced at the end of the meeting. Then, we party!

If you have any questions, please contact me (602-561-7569) or any Board member.
