Trilogy Hikers' Overnight at Sedona

Arrangements have been made for a block of 20 rooms at the Green Tree Inn, 2991 W. State Route 89A in Sedona. 12 rooms will have 2 double beds and 8 rooms with 1 king bed. Each room is priced at $139.95. With taxes and fees the total is $162.90 per room per night. The room block will be held until March 6th. Each individual is responsible for their own reservation and has up to 24 hours from the arrival date to cancel. Please call Green Tree Inn at 928 282 9166 to make your reservation and tell the receptionist you are with the Trilogy Hiking Club.

Please email me (Jenny) at jennyaugermaw@gmail.com to let me know you have made a reservation and whether you will be staying for two nights or just one. We need to know if you will be driving or if you need a ride. We make every effort to car pool as parking is often tight at the hike trail head.

For new hikers, we generally leave at 8am on the Tuesday to drive to Sedona. We then have lunch somewhere and go for our first hike. Check in at the hotel is not usually until 3 pm. After check in we have a cocktail party and then everyone goes their own way for dinner. On Wednesday we hike after breakfast, then we may eat a packed lunch followed by an afternoon hike. On Thursday there is usually a hike in the morning, then we drive back to Gilbert. With a relatively large group of folks going, arranging a group dinner is impossible. Making dinner reservations is often a good idea because Sedona is be busy in March. Also, Sedona is higher than Gilbert and is generally cooler. We have had light snow fall overnight!! Plan to dress warmly with layers. If a non-hiking partner wishes to join you, they are welcome. Sedona has great shopping.
